We are the Moving on project staff. We really enjoy the work that we do, supporting young people with disabilities into self-employment, increasing community engagement, increasing confidence, self-esteem and self-worth.
Máire graduated with a degree in English and History in 2008. Since then, she has worked in a variety of roles in Health and Social Care, Education and the Community sector. Máire has worked as Administrator for the Moving On project for several years and was involved in the development and delivery of the Moving On project. She is excited to be taking on a new role within the Moving On Project from April and is looking forward to their new direction towards employment and jobskills.
Damian has worked in the health and social sector since 2009. Before this he worked as a self-employed carpenter in Ireland and Scotland before joining Leonard Cheshire in 2018 he work for four years supporting people with a learning disability. He is really looking forward to supporting our customers to access volunteering, employment and softer outcomes.
Katherine qualified as a Social Worker in 1991 having worked for the Western Health and Social Care Trust for 25 years in the Family and Child Care programme. Katherine came to Leonard Cheshire in 2016 with experience of practice and managerial positions in social work.
In 2018 Katherine was appointed as the Community Engagement Manager in NI and will support the Moving On team in their new direction supporting young people to gain experience in the voluntary and employment sector.
Jackie has worked in Health and Social Care since 2009 and came to Leonard Cheshire in 2014. Jackie became the Deputy Manager for the Community Engagement Team in Omagh in 2018.
She has completed her NVQ Levels 2/3 in Health and Social Care and is currently completing her Level 5 in Management. Jackie is looking forward being a part of Moving On’s new direction and continuing its success.
